The Body Battery energy monitor included with vívosmart 4 uses a combination of stress, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep and activity data to calculate your body's energy stores at any given moment, so you can plan your day and optimize activity and rest times. A higher number indicates that you are ready to get moving, while a lower number suggests that you may need to relax and get some rest before starting a training session. Body Battery can also help you identify patterns over the weeks so you can understand how the last few days have influenced your current state.
All-day stress monitor
You probably experience stress at some point during the day, but do you know how much? vívosmart 4 lets you know whether your day is calm, balanced or stressful and provides detailed information about it. By tracking HRV (the time interval between heartbeats), vívosmart 4 calculates and displays your stress level. It also has an optional relaxation reminder that you can activate in the app Garmin Connect. If your stress level increases during the day, it will alert you with a vibration on your wrist and display the message "Do you need to take a breather?", indicating that you need to relax. Use the breathing timer to relax, which will guide you through the four-beat breathing exercise, a proven technique that calms the mind and body.
Manage your active lifestyle
vívosmart 4 greets you each day with a personalized step goal. It then tracks your progress and displays it to you. In addition to step calculation, its activity tracking features include counting floors climbed, calories burned, intensity minutes and more. You'll also see an inactivity line and receive vibration alerts that remind you when to get up and get moving.
Track your workouts
You can use the pre-installed activity times to track exercise times and more. And if you forget to start the timer, the Move IQ®Vívosmart 4 will automatically detect exercises, such as walking, swimming, cycling and elliptical training, and will even start timing certain activities. Daily fitness and wellness monitoring
Thanks to Elevate's heart rate data™, collected from your wrist, vívosmart 4 can give you a baseline of your current fitness level by estimating your VO2 max. Generally, as your aerobic fitness improves, your VO2 max improves. Based on VO2 max, vívosmart 4 can also estimate your age based on your fitness level, a statistic that, over time, you can lower with exercise and hard work. To give you even more information, vívosmart 4 will alert you if your heart rate unexpectedly increases above the set threshold. If you've been inactive for more than 10 minutes and your heart rate exceeds the threshold you've set, you'll receive an alert.
Stay connected
With the vívosmart 4 activity tracker on your wrist, you don't have to choose between staying connected and staying active. Check the weather, control your music, receive smart notifications, locate your phone and even reply with predefined text responses (Android only). You can also access social media notifications from the display screen - all without using your smartphone.
